Parkers Executive Chauffeurs, the North East’s premier executive car service, has announced its commitment to helping improve the environment by initiating a new Carbon Neutral offset scheme.
In partnership with Forest Carbon parkers plan to plan in excess of 600 trees this year alone, at Craireknowe in Dumfries & Galloway (pictured above) in order to offset the carbon footprint of the entire business.
Parkers Managing Director, Brian Rudd, says: “In everything we do in our business we strive for perfection. We are very aware of the effects greenhouse gases can have on the planet and the importance of everyone ‘doing their bit’.
“As a responsible business we have put a great deal of time into researching the various options available to reduce our environmental impact, including electric vehicles, before satisfying ourselves that the Forest Carbon option offered the best solution.”
Forest Carbon Director, Stephen Prior, said: “We’ve been planting new woodlands for environmentally conscious businesses all over the UK and it’s great to be doing it with someone from our own patch.
“Parkers’ carbon credits are quality assured via the government’s Woodland Carbon Code, and we are the only company in the UK able to offer this to businesses. Parkers’ actions are forward thinking – helping to ensure a better environment for everybody in the future.”
