Delivering Our Clients a Warm
“What is the population of Newcastle?”
“What is there to see and do in the city?”
“Where are there some nice restaurants that we can eat at tonight?”
A lot of the clients that Parkers Chauffeurs look after are often first time visitors to the area, whether it be from abroad or from elsewhere in the country, and so naturally they want to know more about this wonderful city that they are visiting.
The team at Parkers are constantly looking for ways in which to improve their client experience and so, on a bright sunny day in early May, Steph and Tom headed off to a Destination Awareness Day organised by the NGI. The course is aimed at local ,customer facing businesses in the tourism industry who wish to offer their clients that little bit more. The course aims to cover all kinds of things from attractions, art, sport, food and drink, culture and even unveils some hidden secrets!
The day consisted of workshops, fact sheets, competitions, Haribo rewards for the winners and ended with a fascinating walking tour of Newcastle held by a professional blue badge guide. The pair came away from the day full to the brim with all sorts of interesting facts and figures to pass onto their curious clients.
This will prove particularly useful for ‘Parkers Explore’ the companies bespoke experiences service which provides days out for corporate and leisure guests to key destinations and attractions across the area.
Commenting on his experience of the day, Tom said “I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the destination awareness course with the NGI, the course highlighted just how much our region has to offer and how much of a prominent attraction the North East is. We want our clients to get the absolute best service from ourselves and this doesn’t just mean taking them from A to B in a luxury car but being informative, knowledgable and perhaps at hand with an interesting fact!”
